Equipo Navazos La Bota N111 de Manzanilla “Florpower” MMXVIII: single-vineyard modern fino. It’s lightly fortified but still carries the serious nose of flor. Both on the nose and palate it is concentrated, and packed with almonds, crushed lemons, lemon peel and endless sea breeze. Intense yet never tiring, delicious. Delicious from start to finish, nothing feels heavy, even with 15% alcohol, it’s so well balanced, so well done. It was a 10/10 match with green olives and salted nuts, honestly, far better than many “classic still wines.” It’s got me seriously rethinking my tiny fino consumption, I’m all in for more by-the-glass finos from here on out! #fino #winestudy #winediary #fortifiedwines
