We don’t really know what kind of message the artist wanted to convey through this extreme label design, but inside, the liquid from Petite Montagne is absolutely rocking it! The winemaker has been producing Champagne for less than 10 years, but even his basic cuvée (by the way, the newest one, dégorgement 2024, has already been released) already demonstrates his top-level winemaking. 333.d (deg. 2023) opens up in about 30–40 minutes, revealing delicate, fresh red fruitiness and a good dose of edginess. It definitely has a unique character, not your typical easy-going bubbly. The color is dreamy, so you’d expect plenty of Pinot-driven fruit and structure. It’s a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier, as expected from the Montagne de Reims, with more Pinot than Chardonnay. My cup of tea, loved it! #champagne #gaspardbrochet #montaignedereims #winediaries #champagnelover
